Sri 1008 Sri Suguneendra Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Puthige Matha established the Shri Krishna Vrundavana in December 2002. Shri Krishna Vrundavana is affiliated to Sujnana Religious & Charitable Foundation (SRCF. Until Jan 2009, the organization conducted various events at different Hindu temples including the Dwarkadish temple, Parlin. In Jan 2009 Krishna Vrundavana found its new permanent location at 215 May Street, Edison, NJ.

The permanent location is on a sprawling 3.5 acres land in South Edison with a built up area of around 15000 square feet. The temple premises include a puja hall, prasaada hall, and living quarters for the priests. It also has a multi-purpose community hall with occupancy of about 280 people.

The presiding deity in the Vrundavana is Udipi Sri Krishna. In line with Hari sarvottamatva-Vayu jeevottamathva, the Vrundavana worships Mukhyapraana, a deity in the form of Sri Hanuman. In this kali yuga millions of devotees continues to get the blessings of the kalpataru Sri Raghavendra swamy whose mruthika brindavana is kept and worshiped here. Daily puja is offered (thrice) to the above deities in the udipi sampradaya with recital of Veda mantras followed by annadhana (twice a day).
